Tosoh Beta-Thalassemia Elution Buffer Number 3 For sale- an 800ml Container of Tosoh Beta-Thalassemia Elution Buffer Number 3 for their G7 Analyzer as pictured. There are several issues here, the glaring one being the sticker on the sealed box that says DO NOT USE THIS LOT NUMBER. I think, think that might simply have been a way of making sure they rotated their stock of this stuff, if for some reason it was unusable you have to assume they would just throw it away. They labeled it that way along with the date of receipt so that older inventory would be used first. That’s my guess. Which gets us to a potentially more important issue. The box I am looking at is freshness date 5/31/19, so it’s a bit over five years past. I don’t know whether that totally disqualifies it from being used. Maybe for teaching purposes or something? Also you may note that the box says THIS SIDE UP, DO NOT TILT. I can’t say how these have been handled over the years but I can say that I don’t have any way of making sure they stay upright during transit. I can mark the box THIS SIDE UP but I can also tell you from personal observation that the carrier is going to pay very little attention to that. When they pick it up and put it on their cart to haul out to the truck they are going to put it on there whichever way fits best. So if that or the freshness date preclude these being used DO NOT BUY THEM. Two of these are available to start with, price is for one sealed box.
